Another specialised area of treatment is the use of custom-made orthotics (insoles) to enable your foot to function at its optimal position ensuring greater efficiency and reduction of pain and injury.
Recognised as the first Podiatrist in Singapore in 1993, Tye Lee Tze pioneered and headed the Podiatry service in Tan Tock Seng Hospital until 1998, when he left to set up private practice at The Podiatry Centre.
Prior to 1993 he worked in New South Wales (Australia) after graduating from the Queensland University of Technology (Australia) in 1990.
He is Podiatrist to the Singapore Sports Council, Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Tye Lee Tze has also been a Podiatrist for the 2003 and 2004 Singapore Marathon, the 2006 JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge and the Real Run 2005 & 2006.
He is on the Ministry of Health Working Committee for the Clinical Practice Guidelines - Diabetes Mellitus for 1999 & 2006 and serving his 5th term on the management committee of the Diabetic Society of Singapore.
